Male Patient, Occupation: Sales Rep, Age at time of surgery: 38
Male Patient, Occupation: Sales Rep, Age at time of surgery: 38
Patient was a non smoker.
Psych Profile: Anxious poor coper, but accepts treatment without sedation.
Social & employment history is stable.
Medical History: Nil relevant.
Patient presented with small maxillary partial denture and having had root canal treatment commenced on the upper left canine.
Prior to completion of root canal treatment the crown fractured catastrophically and was surgically extracted with cutting resistance during the surgical extraction providing an accessment of possibly Type 2 bone.
Socket was curetted.
Healing time before implant placement: 11 weeks.
Single predose antibiotic Clindamycin 600mg 1 hour before implant placement.
No antibiotic provided for the extraction.
