Full Reconstruction - Case ID: 2 - Upper
Male Patient, Occupation: N/A , Age at time of surgery: 58

Background  |  Treatment  |  Fees  |  Patient Outcome  |

Patient had been edentulous for the last 30 years. Patient had only one to two millimetres of bone on the alveolus (bone above skeletal plate).

This patient’s ongoing capacity to wear a conventional denture had become severely compromised by a dramatic resorption of supporting bone over the last thirty years.

One of the patient’s main risk factors was the possibility of a fracture of the plate bone forming the floor of the maxillary sinus. He had developed significant issues both with retention and cosmetics of his full upper denture.

The patient is most definitely shape “E” on the Lekholm & Zarb bone classification.

Patient was in good general health and a non-smoker.
